There Are Only 3 Types of Work (99% Choose Wrong)
Why some Muslims can transform in 40 days while others remain lost for decades
"There are three types of work: hard work, guess work and framework." - Taki Moore
Most people spend their lives oscillating between the first two.
Hard work is grinding endlessly, hoping sheer effort will lead to clarity.
Guess work is the 'hit and hope' of trying random tactics, hoping something eventually sticks.
Then there's the third path.
The path of frameworks.
I struggled with finding my own purpose for years because there wasn't a proper system or framework to follow.
Ikigai and Start with why were good starts, but lacked the spiritual aspect.
“I have created man and jinn to worship me”, the Qu’ranic call towards purpose was too broad, what did that exactly mean, practically, in a world that had separated work from worship?
The path was unclear, confusing, and filled with contradictory, unsatisfactory advice. Especially as I considered myself a 'generalist' who didn't have any discernible passions, who was quite well rounded and good at a lot of things. What one thing could I focus on? What was I made for?
Which is partly why I set about designing the ultimate version that would codify and solve this problem, end to end, for good.
When I first started helping Muslims discover themselves, I noticed they were experiencing the same frustration as I did; most were working incredibly hard but still hugely confused.
All because they had no real system to make sense of it all.
This is why I became obsessed with creating frameworks.
Your brain craves structure.
Neuroscience confirms this. The human brain processes approximately 11 million bits of information per second, but can only consciously handle about 50 bits at a time.
Without frameworks, we're drowning in information but can't do anything with it.
The greatest advancements in human history came through frameworks:
The scientific method gave us the structure to discover truth
The periodic table organised elements into a comprehensible system
Double-entry bookkeeping transformed how we track resources
Even the five pillars of Islam are a framework; simplifying an entire way of life into five core practices.
Frameworks are more than just helpful, they're actually how our brains naturally work.
Think about learning to drive.
You don't start by mastering every possible road scenario.
You learn a framework: "Mirror / Signal / Manoeuvre"
This simple framework is applicable in all driving scenarios.
And with enough repetition, it moves from a conscious framework to unconscious competence.
Purpose discovery works the same way.
Over the past five years, I've developed 35+ original frameworks in my coaching program - each designed to transform one aspect of the purpose journey from confusion into clarity. For example:
The Divine SPARK Framework identifies your unique combination of gifts
The DUSHMAN Framework helps to identify your internal and external obstacles
The SYSTEMS Framework helps to implement different systems in your life.
Each framework does what good frameworks always do:
Simplifies complexity
Creates clear next steps
Produces consistent results
Transfers easily to others
I could talk about a single framework in 30 seconds, I could expand on them in 3 minutes, I could lecture on them for an hour, I could workshop them for 4 hours and could even plan a 2 day retreat diving deep on them.
The framework itself provides the structure to hold the content within, and help the individual go on the journey with you, in an easy to digest way.
Plus they're memorable!
Think of it like a tool box or a first aid kit.
You've got a problem that we've diagnosed?
Dive into one of these mental models and get yourself unstuck.
My objective is independence and self-sufficiency.
Without these frameworks, purpose discovery feels like navigating a foreign country without a map.
With them, it becomes a step-by-step journey with clear milestones.

The most successful people aren't necessarily the smartest or hardest working.
They're the ones with the best frameworks.
The surgeon doesn't "wing it" in the operating room. She follows a precise protocol refined through thousands of procedures.
The pilot doesn't improvise takeoff. He executes a checklist that eliminates fatal errors.
Even the chef at your favourite restaurant isn't cooking from pure inspiration. He's following a recipe and repeatable systems that guarantee excellence every time.
This is what separates those who find their purpose from those who remain lost.
Not motivation. Not information.
Frameworks.
Hard work without frameworks is just exhaustion. Guesswork without frameworks is just frustration.
But when you combine effort with the right frameworks? That's transformation.
Finding your purpose was something that could take decades, if not your lifetime. With the right frameworks, those decades can shrink down into a matter of days.
For years, we needed frameworks or a practical system to follow on this subject from a Muslim lens. We finally have them.
So, which type are you currently relying on?
The choice is yours.
You can keep grinding harder, hoping the path will reveal itself.
You can keep experimenting, trying every new strategy that promises clarity.
Or you can learn from those who've already walked this journey.
The frameworks exist. The roadmap is proven. The only question is whether you're ready to follow it.
If you've spent enough time lost in the wilderness and you're ready for a guide...
Comment below "FRAMEWORK" and I'll share the roadmap that's already transformed successful but empty Muslims from all around the world, just like you.
The door is open. But you have to walk through it.
