Introducing Khalyfa
There’s a moment in life where everything finally aligns.
You’ve been working, tirelessly, diligently and sometimes on adrenaline alone.
You’ve felt like giving up but you carry on, too many sunk costs to quit, and the optimist inside you still hoping. Trusting that God has a plan, even if you can’t see it yet.
My new company Khalyfa, for me is that moment - where everything I’ve been working on finally comes together.
All the years of research, of building, writing, coaching, consulting and product development have a clear meaning. Where the lifelong lessons I’ve gained of the ups and downs in business and life all finally crystallise into my true purpose.
There is perfect integrity between who I am and what I am here to do.
That is how I define a khalyfa.
And that also defines what my mission is.
Once upon a time, I was empty and felt hollow, despite looking successful on the outside.
I couldn’t name the feeling. But I knew it was there - this quiet, persistent sense that I was made for more than just... this.
I recognised this feeling in many of the discovery calls I’ve had over the years. It needed language.
The word for feeling empty in Arabic, Urdu, Punjabi, Farsi, Bengali, Hindi is Khaly. Over 2 billion people share a word for this feeling.
Many of us today are living it.
I’ve spent many many years trying to understand why - and more importantly, what the way out looks like. I studied theology, psychology, and philosophy. I built frameworks. I tested them with real people. I watched lives change.
Mine changed too in the process.
I realised the opposite of Khaly is Khalyfa.
The words look so similar but couldn’t be more different.
A Khalyfa is someone who has found alignment between who they are and what they’re here to do. Their values match their choices. Their gifts match their work. Their soul matches their schedule. They are not empty, they are finally full - full of purpose, drive, potential.
That’s what it means to be fully human.
Not everyone is lucky enough to experience it. The world actively operates to keep you khaly.
But to those lucky few, you know all that struggle and difficulty was worth it in the end.
And now you have full conviction in who you are, how you express yourself and what you are here to do
Khalyfa represents what I’ve been building towards for 10 years.
Books, a philosophy, a movement. Assessments, programs, AI tools. An ecosystem for human flourishing.
All mapping the journey between khaly and khalyfa.
Khalyfa is the word the world desperately needs - not just Muslims. It’s for anyone who knows they were made for more than just existing.
The first book is almost ready.
During Ramadan I launched a LaunchGood campaign where you can pre-order the book. There are also deeper tiers for those who want coaching, programmes, and even the chance to shape the Khalyfa movement from the inside.
There are less than 10 days left to back it. If you’ve benefitted from anything I’ve written here, I’d love your support.
Please remember this project in your duas and may Allah put barakah in it, ameen!

May Allah bless your efforts! Indeed, He will bless.
