I watched my dad put up a picture on the wall the other day.
To get it all even, he used a spirit level. I hadn't seen one of those in years!
It's weird where you can find inspiration sometimes.
Have you ever watched a spirit level in action? Builders and carpenters use them all the time.
The little bubble inside drifts left or right when the surface tilts, restless and unsettled.
But when the level is perfect, the bubble snaps into the centre.
Balanced. Peaceful. Still.
Now think of your life.
When you’re not aligned with your purpose, your “bubble” is everywhere.
To the left: distraction, burnout, and aimlessness.
To the right: anxiety, regret, and dissatisfaction.
Your energy is scattered. Your efforts feel wasted. Something always feels “off,” like you’re hustling hard but going nowhere.
But when you discover your divine duty—the unique reason Allah created you—you centre that bubble perfectly.
You feel clarity.
Your actions have meaning.
Life finally makes sense.
Imagine feeling perfectly centred, balanced and fulfilling your potential in a way that serves Allah, others, and yourself.
When you align with your purpose, your bubble centres.
You wake up energised, knowing your “why.”
You can say no to distractions because you’re focused on your mission.
You thrive through challenges, knowing they’re shaping your path.
But here’s the catch: If you’re not deliberate, the world will tilt your spirit level for you. It’ll pull you left into meaningless distractions or right into overwhelming pressure. Our spirit level is constantly under attack.
The result is sadly a life that’s always slightly off-balance, no matter how hard you try.
It's quite apt it's called a 'spirit' level - because a spirit is exactly what we are.
Whether or not we're level - well, that's down to the choices we make.
So, let me ask you: Where is your bubble today?
How's your 'spirit' level doing?
Are you centered—or drifting?
If your bubble feels off centre, I get it—I’ve been there. That’s why I help people like you rediscover who they’re meant to be and what they’re meant to do.
